About Mor-Sels
Mor-Sels is a finishing salt, made with the finest organic sea salt from Guérande, France, where coarse gray crystals are naturally high in minerals and nutrients. It’s ground with locally grown herbs and lemon zest to create an exquisitely textured finish. Sprinkled on food after it’s cooked and while it is still hot, the heat of the food releases volatile oils in the fresh herbs, and gives the lemon zest its zing!
Sprinkle it on soft cheese with crunchy bread and fresh tomatoes – rub it on pork chops while you marinate before grilling – use a pinch on a morning omelet! Whether a pinch or a sprinkle, Mor-Sels provides an aromatic burst of flavor that is an enhancement to any meal.
Mor-Sels is available in specialty shops, East coast Whole Foods Markets and online. Available in 2.5 oz tins at a suggested retail price of $8.50.
History
Mor-Sels was launched in select farmstands and specialty cheese shops in Rhode Island in Spring 2007. Created by Peter Morse, a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), sculptor, and interior designer, who also happens to be a fabulous cook. Peter’s fine art has been shown in galleries both in the U.S. and Europe and he has a few other culinary inventions he plans to launch in the next year.
